JUNIUS Signs With PROSTHETIC RECORDS

March 8, 2011

Prosthetic Records has announced the signing of Boston's JUNIUS, described by Rolling Stone magazine as "a perfect hybrid of NEUROSIS and THE SMITHS." The band, formed in 2003, has previously released material on Radar Recordings and The Mylene Sheath, amongst others, and will begin work on its third full-length this spring.

Commented JUNIUS: "We've been excited about working with Prosthetic since meeting most of the guys in L.A. on tour last year. We're grateful that we seem to have good luck in finding people who are equally passionate, motivated and most importantly, believe in what we're doing enough to commit their time and effort to allow us to continue doing what we love to do. We're definitely looking forward to some very exciting and interesting years ahead!"

JUNIUS has an extensive touring history in North America and Europe, and has shared stages with the likes of MASTODON, BAD RELIGION, VALIENT THORR, HOWL, ORBS, ROSETTA, TOMBS, GOD IS AN ASTRONAUT, IREPRESS and many others.

The band will appear at Austin's South By Southwest festival next week, and has scheduled April dates in Europe.
