KATAKLYSM Frontman's EX DEO To Film 'Romulus' Video
January 29, 2009EX DEO, the new band led by KATAKLYSM frontman Maurizio Iacono, has tapped renowned director Stanimir "Staca" Lukic (MOONSPELL, KAMELOT, DEATHSTARS, TYPE O NEGATIVE) to helm the video for the title track of the group's upcoming debut album, "Romulus". The clip will be filmed in early March in Belgrade, Serbia where the magic of Rome will be recreated.
Commented Iacono: "I wanted the ideal person to bring this concept to life and we felt Staca's plan to do it was the right one. What better place to capture it then Europe itself?! Staca's work is nothing short of phenomenal and I can't wait to unleash the past fury of Rome on the world!"
Maurizio and company are currently locked in the compounds of JFD Studios in Canada with producer (and KATAKLYSM guitarist) Jean-Francois Dagenais (MISERY INDEX, DESPISED ICON, MALEVOLENT CREATION) working on their epic debut.
A demo version of the EX DEO track "Cry Havoc" is available for streaming on the group's MySpace page.
"Romulus" is tentatively due in September via Nuclear Blast Records.
