KEVIN SHIRLEY Says Working On METALLICA's 'The Videos' DVD Was 'Quite A Challenge'

Producer Kevin Shirley (IRON MAIDEN, DREAM THEATER, H.I.M.) has revealed that he spent August and September mixing 5.1 Surround Sound versions of all the original audio for the promotional videos that will be included on METALLICA's upcoming DVD, called "The Videos: 1989-2004". "It was quite a challenge," Shirley said.

Due on December 5, "The Videos: 1989-2004" will include every one of METALLICA's videos, as well as rarities such as "Mama Said", which was never released in North America, the theatrical version of "The Unforgiven", and the trailer for the movie "Some Kind of Monster". It also includes the complete extra material from the VHS-only release "2 of One", which has never been released on DVD.
