KID ROCK And PAMELA: Is It Over?

June 14, 2003

Have Kid Rock and Pamela Anderson split? An insider tells People magazine that the couple, who have been engaged for more than a year, have called it quits. Reps for Anderson and Rock refused to comment. However, Mike Shafer, a Michigan bar owner and friend of Rock's, denies there's a rift. "They are not broken up," he says flatly.

Anderson and Rock did spend last weekend apart. The actress, 35, was spotted at a softball game in Malibu with her ex-husband Tommy Lee (ex-MÖTLEY CRÜE),40, and their two sons, Brandon, 7, and Dylan, 5. Meanwhile, Rock, 32, cruised the Caribbean on the yacht of country crooner Kenny Chesney. On June 8, Rock and Chesney were seen at a bar in St. John having drinks with two women. But an observer notes that nothing romantic seemed to be going on and that Rock "was just very mellow, very subdued."

According to Shafer, "This weekend was her son's birthday, and Pam gave [Kid] permission to be away. He went to Knoxville to do a show with Kenny Chesney, and then he went to the Virgin Islands to record some music."

More recently, Pam unveiled her new "Turn Over A New Leaf - Try Vegetarian" PETAposter/billboard on Friday (June 13) in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Check out pictures from Film Magic.
