KILL THE HOSTAGE: New Songs Posted Online

December 8, 2008

KILL THE HOSTAGE, the Greenville, North Carolina-based thrash/deathcore band featuring former members of UNTIL THE GRAVE, CYCLE OF VIOLENCE, IDEA and NERVOUS SYSTEM ASSAULT, has posted two new songs on its MySpace page.

KILL THE HOSTAGE is comprised of scene veterans Wayne Willis (NERVOUS SYSTEM ASSAULT) on bass, Allen Foster (CYCLE OF VIOLENCE, EYES OF WRATH) on lead guitar, and Harry Brewer (IDEA) on drums along with fresh blood Brian Kuetemeyer on guitar and Chris Humphrey on vocals. KILL THE HOSTAGE "combines the sheer intensity and groove of the New Wave of American Metal, the speed and power of classic thrash, the stomach churning bombast of modern metalcore, and the utter brutality of death metal into a sound and style that is uniquely their own as they pay homage to the past while boldly looking toward the future," according to a press release. "Imagine LAMB OF GOD and MORBID ANGEL in a no-holds-barred cage match with DARKEST HOUR and TESTAMENT and you may begin to get the idea. The band is currently working on new material as they prepare for 2009 to be the year that Greenville finally gets its due. There will be no prisoners. There will be no negotiations. There will be no quarter. Kill the hostage."

KILL THE HOSTAGE is:

Chris Humphrey - Vocals
Brian Kuetemeyer - Guitar
Allen Foster - Guitar
Wayne Willis - Bass
Harry Brewer - Drums
