KISS Guitarist TOMMY THAYER Attends Charity Golf Event

June 28, 2006

KISS guitarist Tommy Thayer attended the third annual Shaun Micheel Make-A-Wish Golf Classic, taking place June 25-26, 2006 at Ridgeway Country Club in Memphis, Tennessee. Tommy brought in a signed Paul Stanley Silvertone guitar for the auction set up by his good friend, top golfer Shaun Micheel, who happens to be a big KISS fan (and teaches Tommy to become a better golfer himself). This year's event raised over $200,000 for children facing life-threatening medical conditions in the Mid-South of the USA.

In a statement sent to Kiss Kollector Online, Shaun Micheel said, "Just a quick note to say how much of an impact Tommy had on the overall success of my third annual Make-a-Wish tournament. We raised over 200K this year and are able to help over 40 children make their 'wish' come true. Tommy got up and played 7 or 8 songs with my good friend, and musician, Gerry Finney. We capped the party off with 'Rock And Roll All Night'. No confetti, but a big hit nonetheless. My thanks are to Gene, Paul and Eric for the signed guitar. I am grateful for their generosity."
