KISS: 'Kissology' Vol. 3' Artwork Revealed

October 13, 2007

KISS' official web site, KissOnline.com, has been updated with the artwork for the third and (presumably) final volume of a definitive DVD collection, "Kissology – Vol. 3 1992-2000". Check it out at this location. The set will reportedly include "an even larger package of content than either of the previous volumes." A late December release is expected.

KISS' latest DVD box set, "Kissology - The Ultimate Kiss Collection Vol. 2 1978 - 1991", sold 46,000 copies in its first week of release to debut at position No. 1 on Billboard's Top Music Video chart.

VH1 Classic has posted no less than 12 tracks from KISS' November 22, 1980 concert in Sydney, Australia at this location. The entire concert is included on "Kissology - The Ultimate Kiss Collection Vol. 2 1978 - 1991", which was released on August 14. It is the follow-up to KISS' DVD box set, "Kissology: Volume One, 1974-1977".

Guitarist Tommy Thayer, who took over Ace Frehley's role in the band, told Billboard.com, "It's fantastic that Volume One of 'Kissology' has done huge numbers, but does it surprise me? No, not at all. This is KISS in its early raw form, four guys with the hunger and fire, aspiring to take on the world. All this great footage is finally available and it's exciting."
