KORN Guitarist: 'It's Not Just Going To Be Another Tour'

January 18, 2006

KORN recently spoke to RollingStone.com about the group's upcoming "See You on the Other Side" tour, which is scheduled to kick off February 24 in their hometown of Bakersfield, California. The band will be joined on the road by handpicked openers MUDVAYNE and 10 YEARS.

"We wanted to pump the vibe that we were going to do something unique for us on this tour; it's not just going to be another tour playing the same songs the same way," guitarist James "Munky" Shaffer said. Frontman Jonathan Davis also promised the group will dig into the archives for some songs they haven't done in a while.

Following KORN's new deal with Virgin and guitarist Brian "Head" Welch's departure, the album and tour marks a fresh start for the multi-platinum rockers. "I'm excited just to go into rehearsals," Munky said. "And I think the excitement will build once we get into how the whole show's going to unfold."
