KORN's 'Live On The Other Side' DVD Lands At No. 3
June 28, 2006KORN's "Live on the other Side" DVD has sold just over 9,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 3 on Billboard magazine's Music DVD chart.
As previously reported, ann e-card for "Live on the other Side" has been made available at this location. The disc received a big-screen premiere on June 19 at more than 100 theatres in 70 markets nationwide. Singer Jonathan Davis told Launch that the disc features the band's November 2005 performance in New York City that launched their "See You on the other Side" album. "That's basically us playing at the Hammerstein Ballroom when we did, you know, when the album came out," he said. "It was our launch event. We flew a plane over from London with a bunch of winners from MTV and kids from every country over there, and we did this cool show. You know, there's all kinds of stuff. There's interviews with us, they're gonna have us playing on the plane, the live show, there's all kinds of extras. So it's a really cool DVD."
Along with interviews, behind-the-scenes footage, and music videos, the disc features excerpts from a private show the band played for contest winners and U.S. soldiers on a plane headed to New York from Europe.
KORN will headline the Family Values tour this summer, which begins on July 27 in Virginia Beach. The main stage lineup also features DEFTONES, STONE SOUR, FLYLEAF and DIR EN GREY.
