KOTTAK Signs With CMM INTERNATIONAL

March 26, 2010

KOTTAK (formerly KRUNK) — the band featuring singer/songwriter/guitarist Jimmy Ratchitt (a.k.a. former KINGDOM COME and current SCORPIONS drummer James Kottak) and his wife Athena (sister of MÖTLEY CRÜE's Tommy Lee) on drums — has inked a deal with CMM International. The group's third album, "Rock & Roll Forever" (formerly "Scream With Me") will be released in Europe on May 14. The CD was produced by Tommy Henriksen (DAUGHTRY, B.C. JEAN) in Los Angeles and Nashville in September and October 2009 at Henriksen's Anarchy Studios.

Commented James: "After months of shopping and meetings all over the planet, Athena and I decided to go with CMM based on the history of Wolfgang Rott. He is a seasoned veteren in every aspect of the music biz AND is tapped into the current pulse of change in the industry. He has an oustanding staff to back him up as well... We are more than excited!"

James added, "Since we just completed a successful 16-show headling tour of Europe in February with Swedish band BLOWSIGHT, we felt it important to release 'Rock & Roll Forever' as soon as possible while we have great momentum in Europe."

A North American release date for "Rock & Roll Forever" has not yet been announced.

"Sunset Blvd.", the new video from KOTTAK, can be viewed below. The clip was directed and photographed by Steve Macia and it was edited by Paul DeNigris.

KOTTAK also includes Johnny Lucas on lead guitar and Price Vernon on bass.

With their debut CD, "Greatist Hits" [sic], and critically acclaimed follow-up CD, "Therupy", KOTTAK established itself as more than just a band with a spelling problem. Several tours of Japan, Europe, Mexico, and countless West Coast runs have yielded a reputation as a rock-solid act.
