LEAVES' EYES Confirmed For Germany's WACKEN OPEN AIR Festival

LEAVES' EYES — the German/Norwegian band formed by ex-THEATRE OF TRAGEDY singer Liv Kristine Espenaes Krull and members of ATROCITY — has been confirmed for this year's installment of the Wacken Open Air festival, set to take place July 31 - August 2, 2008 in Wacken, Germany. LEAVES' EYES will perform at the Mandragora's Fest on March 1 in Mexico City. This concert will mark the group's live debut with new drummer Nick Barker (ex-DIMMU BORGIR, CRADLE OF FILTH) and session bassist Alla Fedynitch (ex-PAIN, ENEMY OF THE SUN, EYES OF EDEN).

As previously reported, LEAVES' EYES has been confirmed as the "special guest" at the DORO anniversary show, "25 Years in Rock", at the ISS Dome in Düsseldorf, Germany on December 13, 2008.

LEAVES' EYES' upcoming DVD was filmed on October 20, 2007 at the Metal Female Voices Fest in Wieze, Belgium. The stage set featured a Viking ship designed by the group's tech Leebee. A tentative March 2008 release is expected. Fan-filmed video footage from the gig can be viewed below.
