LEAVES' EYES Singer Issues North American Tour Recap

September 15, 2007

LEAVES' EYES singer Liv Kristine Espenaes Krull has issued the following update:

"Here we are, finally having arrived safely at home [in Germany after touring North America as the support act for KAMELOT]. The temperature difference between Texas and Baden-Württemberg is 25 degrees Celsius as the fall has already arrived in Germany.

"What I really appreciate about the tour is first of all the American audience, being so friendly and emotional. We will never forget this. Moreover, all the nice little conversations with our fans after the show. Thank you so much for all the flowers, toys and beautiful words. This made our third North American tour an amazing experience!

"One thing which really kept us busy between the shows was the fact that only half of our equipment arrived at the right place after our flight from Germany, Stuttgart to Washington. Luckily, KAMELOT helped us out the best way they could. However, playing shows without our own in-ears, microphones, guitars and other electrical equipment was hardly manageable and the situation did not change before some of the missing gear suddenly turned up and was delivered in Denver, two-and-a-half weeks after our arrival! Tosso (guitar) spent hours and hours and hundreds of dollars on phoning with KLM, talking to a number of people who mostly did not want to involve in the 'lost cases' problem. We lost an immense amount of time and money due to a mistake which was done by the airline company. As the final case arrived, we found only bits and pieces of our equipment — it had been destroyed by the customs! At the check-in, going home, we were forced to pay even more money for a couple of kilos overweight, despite the fact that we had already lost so much money because of the terrible way KLM had treated us. As we arrived in Stuttgart, another case had been opened and damaged and the drum cases haven't even arrived yet. Well done, KLM!

"Finally, I would like to thank the crew and KAMELOT for making the live situation somehow manageable. I would like to thank our fans and friends for making this tour unforgettable. I would also like to thank our own crew and my band members for being such wonderful and amazing friends. Our babysitter did a fantastic job, too, and made the tour a wonderful experience for our son. Thank you, Casey (KAMELOT),for letting him play on your amazing drumkit. The drumming adventure continues at home!

"Also the adventure of LEAVES' EYES continues; we will hopefully see many of you at the Metal Female Voices Festival in Belgium October 20th as we will record this special event for our upcoming DVD. Moreover, we are already back at the Mastersound Studio, composing and recording our third full-length album! Our final show will be November 10th in Krefeld with our friends from BLIND GUARDIAN…and then it's already…Christmas! I doubt they will have snow in Texas, though!"
