LIFE OF AGONY Singer Says There Are No Plans For Band To Record New Studio Album

July 28, 2008

UK's Rock Sound magazine recently conducted an interview with LIFE OF AGONY frontman Keith Caputo. A couple of excerpts from the chat follow.

Rock Sound: You've just released your latest solo album "Fondness For Hometown Scars". When can we expect a new LIFE OF AGONY release?

Keith: "I'm on tour for the rest of this year and next, touring the record I just made. LIFE OF AGONY is not even on my mind. We did a great record with some great people, but my heart is really in my own music. We never really intended to make 'Broken Valley', that was kind of a spoof, as we got together for a reunion. I love my boys and we have a great time, but we're all in different chapters of our lives."

Rock Sound: You're a great role model to people because you've been through so much in your life. Your mother died when you were a baby and you found your father dead in a hotel room. Others would have gone off the rails, but you've managed to turn these horrible experiences into a positive...

Keith: "I appreciate that you've recognized that quality in myself. It's true, I could have easily have taken heroin or done hard drugs and fucked my life up and said, 'Fuck it, my mom and dad are dead from drugs and I don't give a shit, life sucks!' But it's the total opposite — I feel like I lost both my parents to give me life. It's my responsibility to reach my human potential. I want it all and I want to grow so much and keep learning. I'm thirsty for love, romance, good food, to help other people, to live healthy... I want goodness and to spread goodness. I want people to acknowledge that they are living and breathing machines and they can do anything they want to. Life's about changing the frequency, and you can create any frequency you want."
