LINKIN PARK: 'Live From Madison Square Garden' To Premiere Tomorrow Night

February 17, 2011

"Linkin Park: Live From Madison Square Garden" premieres Friday, February 18 at 9:30 p.m. Shot earlier this month at New York's Madison Square Garden, LINKIN PARK takes the stage performing the biggest hits of its 15-year career along with songs from their acclaimed new album, "A Thousand Suns". It's LINKIN PARK like you've never seen them before — only on Fuse television.

After having to cancel and postpone several shows due to illness of co-lead singer Chester Bennington, LINKIN PARK will resume its "A Thousand Suns" world tour at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas Saturday, February 19. Bennington was hospitalized last week with a viral infection and complications from treatment but has been cleared by his physicians to return to the stage.

"I'd like to thank our fans for all the kind wishes I've received," says Chester Bennington. "I'm looking forward to being back on stage, which is a lot more fun than being in a hospital. I also want to apologize to our fans in the cities affected by the cancelations and postponements and let them know we'll be back as soon as we can."

LINKIN PARK is giving back to its fans with free downloads of the band's live recordings. The files will be available to those who send a text message to a short code displayed at each venue LINKIN PARK performs in.

Bennington explains why the band decided to stop charging for the downloads. He told The Pulse Of Radio, "We decided that we were gonna offer the show to our fans and you could go buy it at the end of the night. But really, I mean, you have to want to buy it. So we decided, let's stop charging for it, let's go ahead and just post a code, and you can download the mixed version of the show that's gonna be the best quality that you're gonna be able to get. Then you can go online and you can trade it with your friends and you can share it with whoever you want."
