LION'S SHARE Commence Writing Process For Next CD, Pursue Side Projects

May 14, 2002

Sweden's LION'S SHARE have just begun writing material for the group's next album, which is not expected to appear before mid-to-late 2003. In other news, mainman/guitarist Lars Chriss will reportedly write and record with a couple of side projects in the coming months, one of which is expected to be his much-anticipated collaboration with CANDLEMASS frontman Messiah Marcolin and ex-HIROSHIMA drummer Örjan Englin (a DJ at Sweden's biggest classic rock radio station Rockklassiker 106.7). As yet unnamed, the four-piece group's musical has been described as “heavy- and doomy-sounding with a lot of 70's influences (i.e. URIAH HEEP, BLACK SABBATH, ALICE COOPER, BUDGIE, etc.)”.
