LORDI Featured In New Book Covering Finland's EUROVISION History

November 13, 2006

According to Oikotimes.com, Finnish monster metal band LORDI will be featured in a new book covering Finland's Eurovision history, to be published in January. Entitled "Finland 12 points!", the widely illustrated book was written by Asko Murtomäki and it covers the national finals, songs that have taken part and the artists. As it has an extensive index, the book will function as a perfect source of reference for any Eurovision fan.

Asko Murtomäki is a lifelong fan of the contest and works for YLE. He has also served as a commentator on the contest on YLE radio on many occasions. "Finland 12 Points!" will be published by Teos on January 18, 2007. Another book, a doctoral dissertation called "Erot järjestykseen!" was also published recently, as well as the authorized biography of Mr. Lordi, "Mie oon Lordi".

LORDI's victory in Athens marked a total change of atmosphere in Finnish publishers' interest in Eurovision-related material, and it is believed that many other books will published in the coming year.
