LORDI's 'Babez For Breakfast' Cracks Finnish Top 10

"Babez For Breakfast", the fifth studio album from Finnish heavy metal monsters LORDI, has entered the official chart in the band's home country at position No. 9.

As previously reported, "Babez For Breakfast" sold around 1,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release. The CD landed at position No. 43 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200.

LORDI's last album, "Deadache", opened with 1,700 units back in November 2008 to debut at No. 13 on the Top New Artist Albums chart.

LORDI's most commercially successful LP to date is 2006's "The Arockalypse", which was certified over triple platinum in the band's home country of Finland, gold in Germany (100,000 units),and gold in Sweden (40,000 units). The single "Hard Rock Hallelujah" achieved gold status in Germany (150,000 units).

"Babez For Breakfast" was released on September 14 in the U.S., September 15 in Europe and on October 27 in Japan. The CD was recorded in early 2010 in Nashville, Tennessee with highly regarded producer Michael Wagener, who has produced albums for artists as varied as OZZY OSBOURNE, ALICE COOPER and JANET JACKSON and mixed METALLICA's classic "Master of Puppets".

"Call Off The Wedding" was written with Jeremy Rubolinoga and Bruce Kulick (KISS) over a five-day period that Mr. Lordi spent in Hollywood, California. Guitar riffs were recorded in Los Angeles. Mark Slaughter (SLAUGHTER) is a special guest on "Granny's Gone Crazy".
