MÖTLEY CRÜE Bassist Falls On Stage In Nottingham; Video Available

December 9, 2011

MÖTLEY CRÜE bassist Nikki Sixx slipped and fell on stage during the band's concert last night (Thursday, December 8) at the Capital FM Arena in Nottingham, England.

Sixx had climbed down off a riser and was walking across the stage towards drummer Tommy Lee's kit when the incident took place.

Nikki tweeted about it after the show: "Slipped and fell onstage. Fun. Smashed blood bass. Fun. Guitar cabinets blown up. Rock n roll. Nottingham. Loud."

Fan-filmed video footage of the fall, which occurred four songs into the CRÜE's set — while the band was performing "Shout At The Devil" — can be seen below.

MÖTLEY CRÜE's setlist was as follows:

01. Wild Side
02. Saints Of Los Angeles
03. Live Wire
04. Shout At The Devil
05. Same Ol' Situation (S.O.S.)
06. Primal Scream
07. Home Sweet Home
08. Looks That Kill
09. Mutherfucker Of The Year
10. Drum Solo
11. Dr. Feelgood
12. Girls, Girls, Girls
13. Smokin' In The Boys Room (BROWNSVILLE STATION cover)
14. Kickstart My Heart

MÖTLEY CRÜE kicked off a six-date U.K. co-headlining tour with DEF LEPPARD on Tuesday, December 6 in Birmingham. Opening all shows on the trek is STEEL PANTHER.

MÖTLEY CRÜE has become the first hard rock band to sign a short-term residency at The Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.

The CRÜE will play a series of four-night concerts a week at the off-Strip casino starting on February 3 and running through February 19.

Exact details about the show — expected to supersede the band's high standard of production — are being kept under wraps for now to keep an element of surprise for fans. The engagement falls during a holiday-packed time in the calendar year: Super Bowl Sunday, Valentine's Day and President's Day.
