MACHINE HEAD Drummer Comments On ADAM DUCE's Temporary Replacement
September 4, 2007As BLABBERMOUTH.NET exclusively reported on September 2, MACHINE HEAD has confirmed that it has recruited Brandon Sigmund from fellow San Francisco Bay Area metal band HOSTILITY to handle the bass parts on the group's upcoming North American tour. Sigmund is the temporary replacement for regular MACHINE HEAD bassist Adam Duce, who was forced to sit out the trek after suffering a broken leg while dirt biking in Redding, CA. Also joining the band onstage to reproduce Adam's backing vocals will be Jared MacEachern of tourmates SANCTITY.
"We're really stoked to have found guys as killer as Brandon and Jared to help us through this situation," MACHINE HEAD drummer Dave McClain said in a statement. "We can't wait to get out there and give our fans in the States the headlining show they've been waiting for, especially with bands like ARCH ENEMY, THROWDOWN and SANCTITY on the bill".
Duce's leg is healing normally and he's currently on track to rejoin the band for the rest of their 2007 tour schedule, starting with their Loudpark 07 date in Japan on October 20.
The Black Tyranny Tour will kick off later this week. A list of upcoming MACHINE HEAD shows can be found at this location.
HOSTILITY's video for the song "None for All" can be viewed below. The clip was filmed late last year at the Phoenix Theater in Petaluma, California with director David Kluger.
"None for All" comes off HOSTILITY's critically acclaimed debut album "Uncompromised" (The Pen/Voltaic Records),which was mixed by producer Colin Richardson (SLIPKNOT, MACHINE HEAD, TRIVIUM, SEPULTURA). Richardson previously stated about the CD, "If you want ultimate heaviness, BUY THIS ALBUM!"
