MALFEITOR Signs With SCARLET RECORDS
June 6, 2007MALFEITOR, the Italian black metal band featuring bassist/vocalist M. Fabban (ABORYM),has inked a one-album deal with Scarlet Records.
Commented M. Fabban: "I know Scarlet's crew since 1997 [Scarlet released the first two ABORYM albums in 1999 and 2001 — Ed.]. They know how to launch a newborn piece of evil like MALFEITOR. We received lots of interesting offers in order to put some inch on paper, but Scarlet is a well-organized and well-structured label, [and] they've been in the scene for many years. They will do a cool job for us. No doubts."
MALFEITOR's full-length debut, "Unio Mystica Maxima", will be made available in September 2007 in CD and vinyl LP formats. According to a press release, the CD will contain "nine tracks of mind-crushing, freezing, obscure and weird Luciferian black metal!"
"Unio Mystica Maxima" track listing:
01. Adveniat Infernus (intro)
02. Rex Bestia Fera
03. In This Place Forever
04. Unio Mystica Maxima
05. Jesus Christi to the Lions
06. Baphomet
07. Fiamme Udite
08. Dungeon
09. Black Magic Mushrooms (MYSTICUM cover)
The artwork for "Unio Mystica Maxima" was created by Fabban itself, and the front cover of both the CD and LP versions was done by Marcelo HVC (Poisoned To Reality, Brazil).
Before the full-length's release in September, MALFEITOR will release a special hand-numbered limited-edition (666 copies) split 7" EP with the Norwegian band AMOK (featuring Goatpromoter Lava, ex-TAAKE) through War Arts Production (Portugal).
