MARDUK: Hard At Work On New Material

June 18, 2003

Sweden's MARDUK will be making their Australian live debut at the Destruction of Oz festival in Melbourne on August 22. Guitarist Morgan Håkansson is currently working on material for the group's next studio album, tentatively due in early 2004 through the group's own Blooddawn Productions. 3-4 songs have already been penned and are being described as "the most violent creations the band have ever done," according to MARDUK's official web site. "The next album will be a continuation of the [classic 1999 release] 'Panzer Division Marduk'."

In related news, Håkansson and MARDUK bassist B.War have just returned from the Abyss studio where they completed work on a full-length album with their other band, DEVILS WHOREHOUSE. The CD, titled "Revelation Unorthodox", is the follow-up to the mini-album "Howling", which was released in 2000. Tentative plans exist for the EP to be reissued as a limited-edition digipack featuring several bonus tracks.
