MARSHALL LAW Part Ways With Guitarist JACK FROST
June 20, 2006Long-running Birmingham-based heavy metal band MARSHALL LAW, who at one time featured Lee Morris of PARADISE LOST, have parted ways with guitarist Jack Frost (SEVEN WITCHES) after less than three months.
"Due to both Jack's and the band's various commitments in terms of availability, both parties felt that it was becoming increasingly difficult to balance the workloads and responsibilities whilst maintaining the high standards which both parties are accustomed to providing," the band write in a statement. "MARSHALL LAW remain on excellent terms with Jack and the band wish him every success for the future. MARSHALL LAW are currently auditioning potential replacements and will be announcing Jack's successor in the very near future. Any U.K.-based guitarists who are within commuting distance to Birmingham and London interested in the position can contact the band at [email protected], typing the word Guitarist in the subject field, and attaching a cv/MP3s/photo if possible. This news does not affect any of the band's live performance plans and the final work required to complete the new album will commence on schedule."
MARSHALL LAW are scheduled to release their new album, "Axis of Power", later in the year. The band's previous LPs include "Marshall Law" in 1990, "Powergame" in 1993, "Law In The Raw" in 1996, "Metal Detector" in 1997 and "Warning From History" in 1999. Sanctuary Records issued a double CD anthology set, "Power Crazy", in 2002.
