MEGADETH-Headlined 'Scars To Freedom' Concert Postponed

March 25, 2009

According to MyDesert.com, the MEGADETH-headlined star-studded "Scars To Freedom" concert for wounded troops which was scheduled to take place on Saturday, March 28 at the Palm Springs Air Museum in Palm Springs, California has been postponed.

The event, which also boasts such acts as MICK FLEETWOOD and HOOBASTANK, has been postponed because of "production delays," said Guadalupe Ponte, founder of the Scars to Freedom nonprofit organization.

It had originally been advertised as being held at the Hyatt Grand Champions Resort, Villas & Spa and the Indian Wells Tennis Gardens, but recently changed venues to the Palm Springs Air Museum.

According to a press release, the organization's officials wanted to emphasize that "this in NO WAY reflects our mission and goals. Scars to Freedom is and will continue to provide FREE scar revision to any wounded soldier."

Plans are to hold the event sometime in September at the Palm Springs Air Museum.

Those who purchased tickets are eligible for a refund, Ponte said.
