MEGADETH: Illness Forces Oklahoma City Concert Cancelation
August 9, 2011Due to a band member illness, MEGADETH was forced to cancel tonight's (Tuesday, August 9) performance at the Zoo Amphitheatre in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival. The band apologizes to its fans and everyone in attendance at tonight's show and hopes to return to Oklahoma City as soon as possible.
MEGADETH's new album, "TH1RT3EN", is scheduled for release on November 1 via Roadrunner Records. The CD was recorded at MEGADETH mainman Dave Mustaine's Vic's Garage studio in San Marcos, California with producer Johnny K (full name: John Karkazis),who has previously worked with DISTURBED, SEVENDUST, MACHINE HEAD and STAIND, among others. The artwork will once again be created by artist John Lorenzi, who was responsible for the artwork on the last two MEGADETH studio albums, 2007's "United Abominations" and 2009's "Endgame", as well as the band's 2007 box set, "Warchest".
