MEGADETH took part in a signing session for its latest CD, "United Abominations", on Tuesday (May 15) at the Spin Street Stage, located in the Shops at Mohegan Sun Concourse in Uncasville, CT. The event preceeded the sold-out HEAVEN AND HELL / MEGADETH / MACHINE HEAD show at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville. Check out photos at this location.

On March 25, MEGADETH taped a special "invite-only" set and took part in a question-and-answer session at the Musique Plus studios in Montreal, Quebec. The band played four songs — "Washington Is Next", "Sleepwalker", "Gears of War" and "A Tout Le Monde (Set Me Free)" — for a Musique Plus special that aired yesterday (May 15),the street date of MEGADETH's new album, "United Abominations". According to Hits Daily Double, MEGADETH is on track to sell around 60,000 copies of its latest CD, "United Abominations", in the United States in its first week of release to land in the Top 10 (possibly Top 5) of the Billboard chart. This is more than the 46,000 first-week tally registered by its predecessor, "The System Has Failed" (which debuted at No. 18 on The Billboard 200 chart),and is in line with the 61,000 opening number of 2001's "The World Needs A Hero" (No. 16).
