MELECHESH Signs With NUCLEAR BLAST RECORDS

February 27, 2008

Mesopotamian metal masters MELECHESH have inked a deal with Nuclear Blast Records.

Commented guitarist/vocalist Ashmedi: "We are pleased to be cooperating with and being part of the Nuclear Blast dynasty. This was the logical step for us and Nuclear Blast has the platform from which we can keep on expanding and capturing the souls of many. With strong foundations towers can soar ever higher to reach newer cosmic plains.

"I am working on new material at the moment. The writing process will still take some time. The process will be paused for the European tour in March/April, hence talk of a new album will not yet be divulged but we will keep you updated!"

MELECHESH recently fulfilled its three-album recording contract with Osmose Productions.

"After circa eight years with Osmose Productions, we feel this is the right time to move on," Ashmedi previously stated. "This does not change our high opinion of this cult record company who truly does good old-fashioned A&R work and builds bands over the course of time. I, on behalf of MELECHESH, extend our best wishes to Osmose Productions and their staff, especially Herve and Nicolas, who have become with the years people we can call our friends; we also extend our regards and appreciation to The End Records, the exclusive licensee label in USA, for their efforts on the North American continent."

MELECHESH will team up with IMMOLATION, GOATWHORE and SICKENING HORROR for the "Shadows of the Emissaries' Curse" European tour beginning in early March.

MELECHESH's latest album "Emissaries" — the follow-up to 2003's "Sphynx" — was released January 23, 2007 on Osmose Productions/The End Records.

Fan-filmed video footage of MELECHESH performing the song "Rebirth of Nemesis" on July 19, 2007 at the Earthshaker Fest in Kreuth, Germany can be viewed below.
