Members Of TOOL Want You To Play On Their 'Bowl For Ronnie' Bowling Team
October 27, 2026Due to the overwhelming response to the eBay auction to join Eddie Trunk's bowling team at the annual "Bowl For Ronnie" celebrity bowling party, Adam Jones, Justin Chancellor and Danny Carey of TOOL have assembled their own team of musicians to challenge the competition. Joining them on Thursday, November 12 will be Jerry Cantrell and Mike Inez of ALICE IN CHAINS plus the winner of this latest eBay auction.
The annual "Bowl For Ronnie", held at PINZ Bowling Center in Studio City, California, benefits the Ronnie James Dio Stand Up And Shout Cancer Fund.
Not to be outdone, TOOL has taken inspiration from last year's first-place winning celebrity team, comprised of the members of the band YACHTLEY CREW. YACHTLEY CREW is on the road this year and unable to attend to defend their title so the TOOL team plans to pick up that mantle. They will have stiff competition from event host Eddie Trunk's all-star team, comprised of Tom Morello (RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE),BLACK SABBATH's Geezer Butler, Lita Ford, Brent Woods (GENE SIMMONS BAND, CHEVY METAL) and recent eBay winner Jason Allen of Reno, Nevada.
Bidding is now underway on eBay and will end on Monday, November 2, 2026 at approximately 7 p.m. Pacific time. Travel arrangements to the event are not included.
You can bid to be on TOOL's bowling team at this location.

The Ronnie James Dio Stand Up And Shout Cancer Fund was founded in memory of the legendary singer, who lost his life to gastric cancer in 2010. A privately funded 501(c)(3) public charity, the Ronnie James Dio Stand Up And Shout Cancer Fund has raised over $2 million since its inception. Monies raised have in the past been committed to the cancer research work of the T.J. Martell Foundation for Cancer, AIDS and Leukemia Research, the gastric cancer research unit of the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, where Ronnie was treated for gastric cancer during the last six months of his life, and other cancer research projects.
Since 2016, the Dio Cancer Fund has supported the research of Dr. David Wong and his team at the UCLA School of Dentistry in developing a simple, non-invasive saliva test for the early detection of cancer. Dr. Wong will present his team's gastric cancer biomarker research at the 2026 Stanford Gastric Cancer Summit at the Stanford University School of Medicine on December 7 and 8.
100% of the net proceeds from the "Bowl For Ronnie" will go to the Dio Cancer Fund, which is now in its 16th year of raising awareness and much-needed funding for its mission of cancer prevention, education and research for a cure. The organization also hosts the annual "Rock For Ronnie" concert in the park, scheduled for Sunday, May 23, 2027.
