April 15, 2013

Drummer Tomas Haake of Swedish experimental extreme metallers MESHUGGAH was interviewed for episode 5 of "Drumtalk", an online video feature that does interviews with touring drummers from all over the world. Haake talks about MESHUGGAH's approach to writing songs and his way to create and handle the complex and challenging polyrhythmic patterns. Furthermore he discusses his personal style apart from MESHUGGAH's bass-drum-pattern-based music. Finally he reveals his unique and highly developed warm-up systems.

The clip, which was shot on Decermber 11, 2012 during MESHUGGAH's "Koloss" tour at Batschkapp in Frankfurt, Germany, can be seen below.

MESHUGGAH recently completed touring North America with ANIMALS AS LEADERS as direct support and INTRONAUT opening each evening.

This continent-shifting, sonically devastating tour launched in Orlando, Florida on February 11 and ran through March 3 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Scion A/V),the in-house record label and lifestyle marketing division of the Scion marque produced by Toyota Motor Corporation for the North American market.
