METAL EDGE Magazine Gets A Makeover

August 20, 2007

Zenbu Media has announced the re-launch of music magazine Metal Edge. Launching September 18, 2007, the redesign will boast a new look and expanded metal coverage including new columns, expanded reviews and a free CD containing the latest metal music. The editorial team and mission will remain intact. In addition, a free digital download of the entire magazine will be available at www.metaledgemag.com.

Covering bands across the hard rock spectrum — from classic metal to thrash to punk — Metal Edge is considered a leading voice in the mainstream metal media. Thriving since 1985, Metal Edge is published ten times a year — providing in-depth coverage of current musical acts, including band profiles, news of the latest releases and coverage of the biggest tours.

"Metal Edge has been a favorite of metal fans for more than twenty years, and while we always loved the editorial content we felt that the magazine could use a fresher look," said Steve Bernstein, president of Zenbu Media. "As the leading voice in metal music, this is an incredibly exciting time for the magazine. The music covered by Metal Edge has never been more popular and the editors have seen it all — from the hair bands of the Eighties to the indie metal scene today, they've always had their finger on the pulse of the music."

Based in New York City, Zenbu Media is a music media company that reaches over one million music fans through print, digital, events and records. Zenbu Media publishes four music magazines Relix, Global Rhythm, Metal Edge and Metal Maniacs in addition to five high-traffic music web sites. Zenbu Media's live events include the Green Apple Festival and The Jammys. Under the Relix Records label, Zenbu releases CDs and DVDs by breakout artists such as Jonah Smith and legendary rockers including John Popper and Phil Lesh. Zenbu Media's non-profit arm creates The Relix Band, guitar bracelets made from recycled strings of top artists with all profits going to charity.
