MINDTECH Parts Ways With Singer, Guitarist

January 17, 2009

MINDTECH (formerly BEYOND FLAMES),the Norwegian band featuring CIRCUS MAXIMUS keyboardist Lasse Finbråten, has parted ways with singer Aslak J. Johnsen (TAARN). "This is no dramatic split, and we are still great friends with Mr. Aslak," the group writes in a statement. "One could say that scheduling conflicts is a reason due to the fact that he is running a music club, in addition to his musical career. So much to do, and sooo little time. Hopefully, we will still be working together, in one way or another, in the future. Wish him all the best. Our guitar player, Thomas [Hansvoll], also left the band. Just two days before the VOLBEAT gigs [in early December], so we had to carry on as a five-piece. That actually went on great, so we will not be looking for another guitar player until the singer situation is resolved."

"If you are a singer, male or female, and want to sing with MINDTECH, please get in touch. Or if you have a tip on a suitable singer, get in touch also. We have an album ready for mix, with exception of the vocals, so if you're the one, email us [as soon as possible!!! Use this email: [email protected]."

MINDTECH is currently unsigned, but is prepared to release its debut album through the group's own label if a suitable record deal has not been procured during the coming months.
