MNEMIC To Film 'Diesel Uterus' Video

February 22, 2010

Danish modern metal heroes MNEMIC will soon team up with Swedish director Patric Ullaeus of the Revolver Film Company AB (IN FLAMES, DIMMU BORGIR, LACUNA COIL) to film a video for the band's new single, "Diesel Uterus", from their brand new album, "Sons Of The System".

Commented guitarist Mircea Gabriel Eftemie: "Once again we will be working with our long time friend and film director Patric Ullaeus. He has been there for us, each and every time, and it's been almost three years since we have worked together. This time around we are bringing the robots, and all the stage props in order to make a cool and crazy video.

"I can't say how excited we are to be hanging out with Patric again. He is a creative force, that has stood behind MNEMIC for a long time, and together we will make an ass-kicking video!"

Regarding the song's lyrics Eftemie previously stated, "[It's] about the way technology has changed our way of living. Everybody is dependent on digital devices, mobile phones, computers and especially the Internet. If we have Google Earth, what does the military have? Are we safe at all? And is abundance of information a good thing? Definitely good, if you know how to avoid the bad things. The main point is that we should adapt to technology in a correct and balanced way. In reality, we do waste a lot of time. An aspect of the Internet is that we end up watching the world most of the day through a screen. It is definitely a heavy topic that requires debate and a heavy song!"

"Sons Of The System", the fourth studio album from MNEMIC, sold around 600 copies in the United States in its first week of release. The CD landed at position No. 64 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200.

"Sons Of The System" was released in Europe on January 15 and in North America on January 26 via Nuclear Blast Records. The CD was recorded at MNEMIC's own studio and at the Antfarm facility in Aarhus, Denmark with Danish producer Tue Madsen (HALFORD, BEHEMOTH, KATAKLYSM, THE HAUNTED),who previously helmed the group's "Mechanical Spin Phenomena" (2003) and "The Audio Injected Soul" (2004) CDs.

MNEMIC's previous CD, "Passenger" (2007),was produced by FEAR FACTORY's Christian Olde Wolbers at Track Record Studios (KISS, MEGADETH, AEROSMITH) in Los Angeles.
