Moncton Preparing For AC/DC Concert
July 16, 2009Greg Weston of Times & Transcript reports that Codiac RCMP (Royal Canadian Mounted Police) are expecting approximately twice as many people to attend August's AC/DC concert than were at Magnetic Hill in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada for BON JOVI and they will adjust their approach to the show accordingly.
The Codiac Regional Policing Authority had its monthly meeting yesterday morning, where members were debriefed on the June 27 show.
The committee's chairman said police will need to make some changes in preparation for the second concert.
"The size of the police presence at it will be considerably larger, because it's going to be probably about twice the number of persons attending," Michael Mann said, adding that the number of officers deployed will depend on the number of tickets sold and the police will work with the city to determine the final deployment the week of the show.
