MORBID ANGEL Guitarist: 'I Embody So Much Emotion, Imagination And Total Love In What I Create'

MORBID ANGEL guitarist Trey Azagthoth has posted the following message on his MySpace page:

"I so enjoy reading all these emotional messages and comments. It really brings a smile to my face knowing that people like you are so moved by my art. It's not like you all just say simple things like, 'Ya, I really dig your band, I'm a fan of extreme music and you guys R*O*CK!!!'. lol

"No, it's not so shallow as that, I am in no way a shallow artist, I embody so much emotion, imagination and total L*O*V*E in what I create and I see that so many can really feel that extra stuff.

"I mean, God, there are so many bands out there and they are all extreme, right?! It's just that I don't think any of them are anything like my band, only on the surface, and there are so many surface-dwellers out there now, aren't there?! :)

"So I will summarize and say that it really touches me to know the people that are, as Jimi Hendrix would say, 'experienced.'

"You see, the purpose is stronger than the outcome, and my purpose is to help interrupt the illusionists' hold on society, to put out their little fire which they use to cast their lies of reality on the cave's wall.

"To inspire others to ask better questions and look within themselves for the answers, to affirm that we all [are] born with the same potential, but it is through our decisions that we are made different. That is something Anthony Robbins says and I totally believe it because it fits with all that I have felt and learned throughout my life.

"I'm not here to appear cool. I once coined the silly phrase: 'It's cool to be fooled' lol.

"Keep it real, meanies. Own it!!!!!!!!!!!"
