MOTÖRHEAD Frontman: 'I Don't Understand Racism'
March 19, 2012MOTÖRHEAD frontman Lemmy Kilmister last year sat down with Artisan News to talk about the "Lemmy" film and his band's latest album, "The Wörld Is Yours". He talked what it was like filming the movie; MOTÖRHEAD's place in rock and roll; being prejudiced against a-holes; longevity and Keith Richards; if MOTÖRHEAD is a punk or metal band; the RAMONES and THE CLASH; his feelings on political rock; and the future of rock and the recording industry. You can watch the chat below.
MOTÖRHEAD was forced to miss the last four shows of Gigantour after the band's founder, bassist and principal songwriter Ian "Lemmy" Kilmister came down with a combination of a viral upper respiratory infection and a voice strain, resulting in severe laryngitis.
"I'm giving my voice a good rest," Lemmy said in a statemement, "and will be better than ever for our shows on the [Rockstar Energy Drink] Mayhem [Festival] tour this summer. Hope to see you all there!"
