MOTÖRHEAD Shares Milestone With MTV's 'Headbanger's Ball'

October 17, 2008

After a successful summer release of their new album "Motörizer", MOTÖRHEAD is gearing up to share another piece of themselves with their fans: a video for their anthemic song "Rock Out". This has been a huge year for the Grammy Award-winning band, debuting in the Billboard Top 100 charts, and engaging fans with two back-to-back, high profile U.S. tours. However, this is not only a big year for MOTÖRHEAD; MTV's legendary heavy metal show "Headbanger's Ball" will be celebrating its 20-year anniversary next week. What better way to simultaneously acknowledge the icons of rock 'n' roll and the longest-running, most respected show in metal, than by premiering MOTÖRHEAD's new video during the "Headbanger's Ball" anniversary week?

On Thursday, October 23 at 10:00 p.m. Eastern, the exclusive world premiere of MOTÖRHEAD's "Rock Out" video will be aired on MTV2. The online debut of "Rock Out" will coincide with the television premiere right on Headbanger's Blog. Along with the brand new video, fans will be able to read about the "making of" the clip from co-directors Greg Olliver and Wes Orshoski, as well as a message from Lemmy!

Although "Headbanger's Ball" usually airs at 11:00 p.m. on Saturday nights, it will be taking over MTV2 in honor of their anniversary week. Starting on October 20, viewers will witness a metal mash-up, including interviews, classic videos, exclusive premieres, VJ discussions, and much more. In addition to the MOTÖRHEAD premiere, you'll also be able to catch a classic MOTÖRHEAD video during the two-hour special on October 25! Whether you're a long-time MOTÖRHEAD enthusiast or part of the next generation of fans, don't miss your chance to witness a piece of heavy metal history, this Thursday on MTV2.
