MTV: SLIPKNOT To Headline OZZFEST's Second Stage

February 12, 2004

SLIPKNOT drummer Joey Jordison has confirmed to MTV.com that the Iowa-based nine-piece will headline the second stage of this summer's Ozzfest (as first reported here on Jan. 25).

Jordison said he prefers the secondary platform over the main stage for one simple reason.

"It has a pit," he said dryly.

Joining SLIPKNOT on the second stage will be HATEBREED, EVERY TIME I DIE, ATREYU and BLEEDING THROUGH, sources close to the tour have told MTV.com.

No official announcement on the Ozzfest lineup has been made by tour organizers, though rumors are circulating that SLAYER, THE DARKNESS and a reunited JUDAS PRIEST will join OZZY OSBOURNE on the main stage. A lineup and itinerary are scheduled to be released February 19.
