NARNIA Part Ways With Keyboardist, Continue Work On New Album
August 16, 2005Swedish neo-classical metallers NARNIA have announced the departure of keyboardist Linus Kåse. "For different reasons we have decided to go separate ways and we wish Linus all the best with his music and projects," the band write on their web site. "Andreas Lindahl, who played keyboards with us at Flevo, will also play at Metalfest in Germany and then we will see..."
With regards to the recording process for the group's fifth full-length CD, NARNIA write, "The recording of the new album is almost finished and Mats Leven (THERION, YNGWIE MALMSTEEN, AT VANCE, etc.) is now doing the backing vocals. It will be mixed in October. Release date is still not set but keep youself updated at our webpage."
NARNIA's fourth full-length album, "The Great Fall", was released in April 2003 through Nuclear Blast Records. The CD, which was produced at The Dream Factory in Jönköping, Sweden by Carl-Johan Grimmark, featured guest appearances from former YNGWIE MALMSTEEN/current HAMMERFALL drummer Anders Johansson and SAVIOUR MACHINE singer Eric Clayton
In other news, Christian Rivel, Andreas Olsson and Andreas Johansson of NARNIA will be touring Japan with DIVINEFIRE in October. Confirmed tour dates are as follows:
