NEGATIVA Part Ways With Bassist, Announce Replacement

March 1, 2006

NEGATIVA, the new Quebec, Canada-based metal band featuring former GORGUTS members Steeve Hurdle (guitar, vocals; also ex-PURULENCE) and Luc Lemay (guitar, vocals),along with Etienne Gallo (AUGURY) on drums, have parted ways with bassist Dominic Lapointe (QUO VADIS, AUGURY, ATHERETIC). "Dominic coudn't make it. He was too busy with his two other bands," Hurdle said. "So, from now on, Miguel Valade (ex-ION DISSONANCE) will fill the spot. He is a cool guy and he his a very good bass player! We want to enter studio in late April or May to record our debut demo...we will see if things will be ready!" Songtitles set to appear on the demo include "L'éloge de L'ombre", "Omniferium", "Taedium Vitae", "Rebellion" and "Chaos in Motion".

NEGATIVA are expected to release their debut CD on Great White North Records. The highly anticipated GORGUTS live album and live DVD will be released later this year, also by Great White North Records.
