NIKKI SIXX's Radio Shows Celebrate One Year On The Air

February 8, 2011

MÖTLEY CRÜE/SIXX: A.M. bassist Nikki Sixx has posted the following message on his MySpace page:

"It's a been a whole year since we officially cracked open the mics and started 'Sixx Sense' and 'The Side Show Countdown' radio shows. Now, usually a year is marked with a few highlights and probably as many, if not more, lowlights and that is just life, but this is not just life, it's radio. I get to have the most amazing people in my life, like my co-host Kerri Kasem and our whole team of producers, engineers, editors, writers, etc. and hundreds of others at Premiere Networks who make sure every little (and big thing) goes off daily like the 4th of July and not some 'Spinal Tap' version of radio. Oh, we've pushed a few buttons here and there, set off a few fire alarms, and, of course, there are the beeps, but what the hell... They hired a train wreck. The least we can do is wreck a few trains along with all the music and amazing artists we've had on the shows.

"I could go on and on about the show but really what I wanted to say here is, thank you for believing in us… This is not just to the amazing fans, but to the radio stations who are bringing the show to fans. You are giving us a chance to do something different and hopefully we give you one more reason to fall in love with music and laugh at the realities of all of our lives….

"Two words... thank you."

Sixx's nationally syndicated radio show "Sixx Sense With Nikki Sixx" from Premiere Radio Networks recently added its 50th affiliate.

Since launching in February 2010, "Sixx Sense With Nikki Sixx" is fast becoming the place to hear it first for guests from all walks of life, including rock royalty, the first man on the moon, authors, actors and everyone in between. Dave Grohl, Jared Leto, Lemmy Kilmister, Perez Hilton, Kat Von D, "CSI" creator Anthony Zuiker, "Four Agreements" author Don Miguel Ruiz, Dog The Bounty Hunter and others have joined Sixx and his co-host Kerri Kasem for their special brand of conversation. In addition, they've world-premiered albums and songs for artists and bands like BUCKCHERRY, DROWNING POOL and Slash and hosted the announcement for last summer's Ozzfest.
