NIKKI SIXX Signs Everything From Books To Boobs In Boston

September 28, 2007

According to Boston.com, MÖTLEY CRÜE bassist Nikki Sixx signed everything from breasts to books — including his own, "The Heroin Diaries" — for 250 fans at the Downtown Crossing Borders in Boston, Massachusetts yesterday (September 27). Among those standing in line to meet Sixx was a rep for state Senator Gale Candaras. Seems the lawmaker's pushing a bill to broaden access to drug treatment programs, and she wants the rocker's support.

"The Heroin Diaries" (released September 18 via MTV Pocketbooks/Simon & Schuster),debuted at #7 on The New York Times Book Review non-fiction best-seller list.

In one of the most extraordinary memoirs of addiction ever published, Sixx shares mesmerizing diary entries from the year he spiraled out of control in a haze of heroin and cocaine, presented alongside riveting commentary from people who were there at the time, and from Nikki himself. Adding unparalleled depth to his project, Sixx created "The Heroin Diaries Soundtrack", which was inspired by the dark and crippling diary entries and written/produced by SIXX: A.M. (Sixx, James Michael and DJ Ashba),as a unique way to create awareness.

Twenty-five percent of the book's profits will be donated to Running Wild In The NightSixx's fundraising initiative for Covenant House California, which helps keep runaway, abused and abandoned youth off the streets.
