NINE INCH NAILS: Footage From European Tour Available
August 21, 2007NINE INCH NAILS has launched a YouTubechannel featuring clips from the band's current European tour. The first two clips can be viewed below.
NINE INCH NAILS has announced plans to issue a remix version of its latest album, "Year Zero", titled "Y34R Z3R0 R3M1X3D". There's no release date yet for the disc, but an image of the cover has been posted at YearZero.nin.com.
As previously reported, "Year Zero", might be turned into a television series. Frontman and creative mastermind Trent Reznor told a U.K. newspaper that plans are underway to bring the concept disc to the airwaves, saying, "We've got a producer on board and have met with writers. We're about to pitch it to the network, so we're a couple of weeks away from meeting all of the main people, and we'll see what happens."
"Year Zero" is set in a totalitarian future America ruled by a right-wing religious dictatorship. The populace is plagued by mysterious visions, the country's drinking water might be drugged and global catastrophe is near.
Reznor said earlier in the year that he was interested in bringing the story to the screen, possibly as a movie.
The album was released this past spring after an innovative viral marketing campaign that left clues for fans online and in venues where the band had played.
