NONPOINT: New Video Interview With ZACH BRODERICK

September 17, 2010

Gannett Media's Anne Erickson recently conducted an interview with guitarist Zach Broderick of the Ft. Lauderdale hard rock quartet NONPOINT at the Machine Shop in Flint, Michigan. The chat can now be viewed below.

When asked about his experience stepping into the role of lead guitarist of the metal outfit, Broderick said the biggest challenge was writing in a way that would please current NONPOINT fans while still putting his personal stamp on it.

"I knew it was going to sound a bit different with me playing guitar, so that created a little anxiety about seeing how people would take the different sound of NONPOINT with a new writer in the band," he said. "At the same time, I was confident about the process, and we ended up loving this record."

NONPOINT's new album, "Miracle", sold around 8,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 60 on The Billboard 200 chart.

"Miracle" was released in Europe on June 14 via Powerage Records. The CD was made available in the U.S. on May 4 via the band's own 954 Records in partnership with Rocket Science Ventures / RED / Sony.

NONPOINT's "Miracle" video was directed by Dale "Rage" Resteghini, whose credits include videos for ANTHRAX, FALL OUT BOY, LIL WAYNE, STRAIGHT LINE STITCH, THE GAME, BUSTA RHYMES, SOULJA BOY and many others.

MUDVAYNE and HELLYEAH members Chad Gray and Greg Tribbett produced the new album.
