ODIUM: 'Population Zero' Video Released

June 24, 2010

"Population Zero", the new video from Ontario, Canada-based metallers ODIUM, can be viewed below. The live clip was shot in ODIUM's hometown of Hanover with director Chad Archibald (ARISE AND RUIN, EYES SET TO KILL, FAREWELL TO FREEWAY) of Black Fawn Films. The track is the second single from ODIUM's debut album, "At The Bottom", which was released through Year Of The Sun Records. The CD was produced by Greg Dawson (THE END, MONEEN).

According to a press release, ODIUM's brand of melodic metal collides with anthemic choruses that creates dark soundscapes that have begun creating a buzz around the group's debut album. Inside Pulse proclaimed "ODIUM has taken the blueprint of melodic metal from Sweden's IN FLAMES and tempered the attack with a hint of KILLSWITCH ENGAGE to create a sort of Canadian leviathan."

A free MP3 download of the song "Frailty" by ODIUM is available on the "The True North Loud And Free" compilation album. The free 16-track collection features some of Canada's best underground metal acts from some of Canada's strongest metal labels. The compilation is currently being offered as a free download through the new Sonic Unyondigital store.

ODIUM will play a series of dates with Montreal's THE AGONIST. The band will also be on the road throughout July with CDN Records' AQUILA.
