OFFICIUM TRISTE Celebrating 15th Year 'In The Business'

January 6, 2009

Dutch "atmospheric doomsters" OFFICIUM TRISTE have issued the following update:

"April marks our 15th year in the business. We started out in April 1994 so do the math. To coincide with this anniversary, a tour with EVOKEN and ISOLE is being set up. A couple of shows have already been booked and the others soon will be. Since one of the shows on this tour will be at Baroeg in Rotterdam, we decided to turn this into our 15th anniversary gig and next to the aforementioned EVOKEN and ISOLE, both MOURNFUL CONGREGATION and LONGING FOR DAWN will be present as well as they happen to tour Europe around that time as well. So we were stoked to find out we could hook up all these bands together to have a great show and a great party. I bet you all like this lineup, right? We've also come to an agreement with our label, Displeased Records, to come up with a special anniversary release. We're not going to tell you exactly what will be on it, but expect a full-length with out-of-print material, new material, re-recorded material and a cover tune. Of course, we'll make sure we have this album and all our (still available) previous releases with us on tour."

OFFICIUM TRISTE's fourth full-length album, "Giving Yourself Away", was released on May 28, 2007 via Displeased Records. The CD was recorded at Excess studio in Rotterdam, Holland.

Fan-filmed video footage of OFFICIUM TRISTE performing at the Eggfest 2008 in Eibergen, Holland on June 7, 2008 can be viewed below (clip uploaded by Erhan Düzey).
