Oklahoma's BLEED THE SKY Issues Post-SOULFLY Tour Recap

December 8, 2008

Oklahoma's BLEED THE SKY has just completed a U.S. tour with SOULFLY, DEVASTATION, and INCITE.

The band has checked in with the following update:

"27 shows in 28 days, a few blown tires, and an awesome Thanksgiving dinner, we are home from — hands down — the BEST tour we've done yet!!!

"Starting out in Texas, the tour went to the east coast, through the frozen north, and ended in Hollywood, California at the Key Club. Every night was GREAT. The crowd responses were unbelievable!!! Between 500 and 1,000 fans showed up ready to throw down every night, and that they did with some of the most brutal pits we have ever seen!!! Every band on this tour came out for blood! We had the privilege of being direct support for SOULFLY every night, and since many of our fans are SOULFLY fans too, it was a match made in Hell!!!

"The best part of being on tour is meeting 'people you consider family,' and that is exactly what we have with our brothers from SOULFLY, DEVASTATION, and INCITE. The brotherhood between all the bands made this tour so easy, it was almost too short because we could have kept going for a few more months!!! With members of DEVASTATION leaving half-way through the tour, we all had to pull together and to make sure that the show went on, and when everyone on the tour stepped up on vocals and bass, no one ever knew the difference. It made for a party every night on stage with our thrash metal brothers DEVASTATION!!!

"All of us in BLEED THE SKY are looking forward to future tours with SOULFLY, INCITE, and the band formerly known as DEVASTATION. The end of this tour was like leaving summer camp. WE ARE BROTHERS FOR LIFE!!!

"Thanks to all the fans who came out to support us and a special thanks goes to the Cavalera family for taking such good care of all the bands and crew on this tour… and for the great Thanksgiving dinner in Tempe!!!"
