OMNIUM GATHERUM To Support DARK TRANQUILLITY In Helsinki

Finnish metallers OMNIUM GATHERUM will support DARK TRANQUILLITY on Sunday, April 20 at Tavastia in Helsinki. Says the band, "Be there and you might hear some flashes of the new material played there!"

OMNIUM GATHERUM recently began recording its fourth album at Sound Supreme Studios in Hmeenlinna, Finland with Janne Saksa and SouthEastSounds studio to Karhula with Teemu Aalto. The mixing and mastering will take place in May at Unisound Studio in rebro, Sweden by Dan Swan.

OMNIUM GATHERUM last year parted ways with bassist Janne Markkanen and replaced him with Eerik Purdon (CRYSTAL BLAZE, AMORAL).

The band's latest album, "Stuck Here on Snakes Way", entered the Finnish chart at position No. 31. The CD, which was released on April 2, 2007 via Candlelight Records (one day later in North America),was recorded during November-December 2006 at Southeast Studios in Karhula, Finland with producer Teemu Aalto. An eight-minute video clip documenting the recording sessions for the album has been posted online at this location. Check out audio samples on the band's MySpace page.

"Stuck Here on Snakes Way" marked the band's first release with brand new vocalist Jukka Pelkonen, who joined the group in May 2006.
