ONSLAUGHT Forced To Cancel Five Shows In Germany

December 11, 2007

Reactivated British thrashers ONSLAUGHT have been forced to cancel the final five shows of their current German tour with EKTOMORF due to what they claim were "continuing breaches of contract" by the tour's organizers. ONSLAUGHT singer Sy Keeler says in a statement: "The organization behind the tour has again been nothing short of shambolic from Day One. The problems started with transportation and equipment and ended with non-payment of our fees and expenses. The nightliner company has not been paid and the tour is being kept afloat at this time by the tour manager's own personal finances.

"We had persevered with the difficulties for the first nine shows but felt it was impossible for us to continue in the circumstances and have been forced to make this very difficult and sad decision.

"We deeply apologize to our fans in Germany for any disappointment and inconvenience they may encounter because [the cancellation]. We will return to your great country in February for three shows with our good friends SABBAT which will be organized and promoted in a totally professional manner.

"This matter is now in the hands of our legal team."

ONSLAUGHT released its first live DVD, "Live Polish Assault 2007", in July via Metal Mind Productions. The disc contains more than an hour of veritable thrash mayhem filmed during the band's gig on February 12, 2007 at the Stodola Club in Warsaw, Poland (see preview clip below). The DVD also includes an interview with guitarist Nige Rockett and vocalist Sy Keeler, bonus live video footage from the band's gigs in Japan and Holland, as also bonus audio tracks from the gig at Bristol Colston Hall in 1987 (featuring ONSLAUGHT's very first live performance of "Let There Be Rock")!

ONSLAUGHT's new album, "Killing Peace", was released in March via Candlelight Records. The CD was recorded at Backstage studio in Derbyshire, England with producer Andy Sneap (MEGADETH, MACHINE HEAD, ARCH ENEMY, NEVERMORE).
