ORPHANED LAND Preparing For PROGPOWER USA VI

August 6, 2005

Israel's ORPHANED LAND is gearing up for their 2005 ProgPower USA VI appearance where they will be performing an all-acoustic set Thursday, September 15 at ProgPower USA's pre-party and a metal set for their Friday ProgPower USA VI performance. Sold out for a consecutive four years in a row (this year in three days),ProgPower USA has quickly become North America's most praised festival. In the past the festival has attracted prestigious European metal acts for their initial U.S. performances such as NIGHTWISH, BLIND GUARDIAN, and this year STRATOVARIUS.

ORPHANED LAND vocalist Kobi Farhi sends this message out to the band's fans: "Hi everyone, after living on the road and completing 40 shows in 21 countries (with PARADISE LOST, some mini tours, and festival dates),we are getting ready for the double acoustic / metallic shows we will be playing at ProgPower USA VI. We have never played two different shows like this back to back. It's going be really exciting, especially as it is our debut U.S. performance. We can't wait to meet you all."

Guitarist Matti Svatski added: "I have never been to the U.S. and it has been a dream of mine since childhood. Playing such a respected festival with such top of the line bands makes the adventure seem that much more extreme."
