OZZFEST 2005: 'Rescheduled' Somerset Concert Officially Canceled

August 17, 2005

Despite a previous announcement to the contrary, Ozzfest is not coming to the Twin Cities (Minneapolis/St. Paul) area, according to the Star Tribune. The 10th annual traveling heavy-metal tour had been postponed from Aug. 7 until to Sept. 10 at Float-Rite Park in Somerset, Wis., because namesake Ozzy Osbourne was having throat problems.

Late Tuesday evening (August 16),organizers canceled the September date, which was to have been the last on the Ozzfest tour, because too many of the bands are unable to appear then in Somerset. (Refunds are available at place of purchase.) However, promoters are trying to see if they can reschedule a show by BLACK SABBATH, Osbourne's current band, for the Twin Cities area.
