PAIN Pulls Out Of Istanbul's SUMMER ROCKS OPEN AIR

August 16, 2007

PAIN, the Swedish band featuring HYPOCRISY mainman Peter Tägtgren, has issued the following update:

"We are sorry to anounce that PAIN has cancelled the Summer Rocks Open Air festival 2007 [in] Istanbul [Turkey on] 19th August due to the [fact that the] promoter didn't pay the deposit and didn't even contact our booking agency, Helter Skelter, [to explain] why this happened. Helter Skelter cancelled PAIN. We hope that we can come back on tour later this or next year and we hope the PAIN-heads in Istanbul will understand."

PAIN's fifth full-length album, "Psalms of Extinction", entered the national chart in the band's home country at position No. 21.

IN FLAMES bassist Peter Iwers makes a guest appearance on two songs on "Psalms of Extinction". A video clip of PAIN performing the track "Zombie Slam" on the Swedish morning show "Nyhetsmorgon" on TV4 on April 17 has been posted online at this location.

PAIN's video for the track "Zombie Slam" is available for viewing below. The clip was shot late February in Los Angeles by Ralf Strathmann. Ralf previously worked as a director for artists like CHILDREN OF BODOM, APOCALYPTICA and SOILWORK. He is also a photographer for such bands as H.I.M., AEROSMITH and BLINK 182, to name but a few.
